Search-preview & Binaries Finally!

Updates & the waiting

Hey,

I’ve just updated Wordpress to the latest version, so if the site were down for some time today, it was because of that.
Either way, I’m having some troubles with the new Search-interface, it’s going forward, but quite slow :-(. I will probably release it when it’s done, as Alpha 3.5 or something, since it will need a lot of bug-testing.
When that is done I’m gonna start adding this:

  • Favorite Hubs
  • A password-dialog will show when a hub needs a password
  • A dialog for changing the settings on the server
  • A refined transfer viewer

And probably a lot of bug fixes and so on.

But the sad part is that I have a lot to in school right now, so I won’t be able to code on MultiDC++ for a week :-(

But after that I will be back, and faster than ever :-)

Cheers

I’ve downloaded the Alpha 3 release off of sourceforge.net but seem to be having some trouble. Namely, I can’t get any application open! After install, there are two files. The first is supposed to be the app I guess, but doesn’t open. The second is the multidcppserver, which I don’t what to do with. As I am totally ignorant about using this program, I humbly ask for a little guidance, if you don’t mind : )

    Hey,
‘multidcppserver’ is the application that you have to start from a terminal at the moment, and it is the application that runs the DC++-core (I will make it so the server starts automatically in the future).
‘MultiDC++’ is the application that you connect to ‘multidcppserver’, it displays the GUI and such.
Though it’s weird that you can’t open MultiDC++, what kind of system do you have?

    Cheers

hey ho hope u are making a client that uses its own tag and doesnt emulate dc doesnt need more emulated clients :) anyways hope its gets done soon /regards Toast

  4. ho-tep Says:

Well, since this client doesn’t have any other features than the original client, I don’t see why the tag should be any different.
The core of MultiDC++ is the DC++-core, without any changes, other than some small things so that it can compile in *nix.
